The LFPOA requires that all mailboxes and posts match to provide a consistent and neat appearance. This includes the style of post, box, lettering on the box, color of paint, information on the box, etc. Therefore the Association has undertaken an ongoing program to keep the boxes and posts attractive. This is another way your association dues are used to maintain the neighborhood.

The association will paint and/or replace boxes and posts that have deteriorated through normal wear and tear on a case by case basis. Those properties to receive new or painted posts and boxes will be determined by the association board based on condition and budget constraints. Please note that the costs to replace damaged posts and boxes are the responsibility of the person causing such damage or the property owner, NOT the association. For example, the property owner should pursue repair expenses from owners of snow plows or automobiles who damage their mailbox. Damaged boxes and posts must be repaired/replaced within 30 days, weather permitting and the homeowner should coordinate the replacement with our vendor. We will assist the property owner with information as to the correct style, colors and recommended vendor.

  • Property owners are free to paint the post if they desire, however the color must match the paint color specified by the association.
  • Our vendor recommends the metal boxes receive an occasional coat of vehicle wax to maintain the shine.
  • Please be careful when using string trimmers around the base of posts. This damage will not be covered by the association.

The correct paint for the posts can be purchased from:
