Dear Families and Friends in Lantern Farms,

Have we ever seen a spring and summer like that of 2020?  From the
global level to our own intimate family level, challenges have been
faced every day.  Have you ever had the feeling, pulling up to your
driveway at the end of a long day, "Thank goodness, home again?"  It
is our homes, family and our own personal faith that provides strength
and refuge.  Woe to those who may challenge those sacred values.

We have a Lantern Farms Property Owners Association annual meeting
coming up Tuesday August 25, 7 pm at the Delaware Township building.
We have several opportunities to handle as a community together.

1.  We have an important amendment to our by laws that addresses
rental property in our neighborhood.  This is a premier residential
neighborhood featuring quality homes and properties.  We want nothing
less than to maintain those high standards.

2.  We have seen improvements in our landscaping and entrance ways.
This is due to sound budgeting and policies designed to keep a
positive balance in the kitty while applying funds to expenses in a
measured way.  We are all beneficiaries of services provided by  our
annual dues and any occasional special assessments.

3.  We have a slight rates difference in our Ray's Trash Service
neighborhood rates for the coming term.  Rates are going up a little
over $1/month.  Still, this is a huge discount and I myself have been pleased with the service.

4.  We have a social distancing situation with this meeting that we
are addressing by requiring masks be worn at the meeting and only one
person/family in attendance.  Please take advantage of the proxy
process to make sure your vote on any issues is in good hands.

5.  Carolyn Kuehl is head of the Communications Committee.  She has set up an online access to the meeting per FreeConferenceCall.com.  We suggest if you cannot attend due to health reasons, give your proxy form and your vote on the no rental amendment to someone who will attend, then dial in to 7207409666.  The access code for this meeting is 5610445.  You can then have your proxy sign in as well, they can have their phone on speaker, and you can then have audio of the meeting.  For additional questions please email Carolyn at [email protected]

Again, we look forward to seeing as many members as possible and we
know we all work better together.  Whether we focus on the bigger
picture of home security and property values or smaller details such
as mailboxes or lawn care, it is the big and small that makes up us all.

Please use the website as a good way to keep in touch.

Sincerely,

John Riggio
President Lantern Farms Property Owners Association
