Rays has been taken over by Waste Management and it is unknown if our discount rate will continue.

The Association has a contract rate with Ray's Trash. With recycling, the rate is approx $40 per quarter including fuel charges. They have held the price for several years since most of the neighborhood uses them. We strongly encourage everyone to use Ray's.

  • Using the same company reduces trucks in the neighborhood
  • Everyone's trash cans are out on the same day
  • The more participants, the more likely Ray's will give us a good price
  • Ray's does NOT pick up on the 6 major holidays, pickups will be delayed 1 day after the holiday that week (this was a change in 2020)
  • They have proved themselves to be reliable

No. In our efforts to keep the neighborhood looking good, the Association has taken over maintenance and replacement of the posts & boxes. Here is a explanation fo our policies regarding the mailbox program.

We do not. The Association has always been self managed by volunteer owners. Our by-laws forbid the owner board members from receiving any compensation. Each year we have expiring terms of at least 2 members. Nominations for board positions are encouraged and needed.

Lantern Farms' annual dues are one of the lowest of any neighborhood in the area. The dues fund:

  • liability insurance
  • utilities for the entrances
  • landscaping for the entrances
  • meeting expenses
  • printing & mailing as required by our by-laws
  • mailbox maintenance & replacement
  • other misc items
