Good Blessed Morning, Lantern Farms Friends and Families,
We are kicking off the dust and meagre snow of last winter from our boots as we reach for tennis shoes and garden tools. I have tiny buds gracing our weeping willow tree out back and there are those lucky ones who have yellow daffodils standing erect as sentries in their yards. Our twin granddaughters have been over digging the garden and flinging dirt.
With spring comes new blood and a new season for the Lantern Farms Property Owners Association board of directors. We have several new items on our agenda that we need to place on the platter before you.
Our Annual Meeting will be this coming April 18, 2023 from 7-8:30 pm at the Delaware Township Building on 131st St. This is the first notice of this meeting and we encourage all to attend. This concerns your neighborhood, your home and your family.
You will receive a mailing this month that will include your annual dues invoice and your proxy letter for the meeting as well. This meeting is your best opportunity to meet your board members and many of your neighbors, new and old.
Speaking of new, we do have some board members that this will be their last meeting. Members on the board serve a three-year term and we have openings for new members to join. The time commitment is minimal, maybe averaging a few hours throughout the entire year and you get an opportunity to serve and make a difference within your closest community. We really enjoy each others company and look forward to new blood.
We urge you to talk to your family about this neat opportunity and to also speak with your neighbors and friends to join with you. I have lived here longer than some and not as long as others and have served two terms on the board as a member and as president a couple of times. I have really enjoyed my moments on the board and look forward to more time with you all.
More to come around the Bend,
John Riggio President LFPOA
