As children, we look out the window cold
As the snowflakes kiss the lawn,
We turn to each other, no matter how old,
And ask, “Where has the summer gone?”
“What about the swimming suits, BBQ’s and fun,
The popsicles, the flowers, the late hanging sun?”
Well, my neighbors who live on the farms,
We’ve stepped into Autumn’s seasonal “Charms.”
Indeed, the changing seasons are upon us. We are stepping past the flow of autumn bliss to a winter’s wind that seems to hiss with frost at times. Lantern Farms has had so many families come and go, sadly saying goodbye to some whilst giving a warm welcome to those new folks moving in.
The LFPOA Board remains busy all year. Cheri Campana, our VP keeps on top of maintaining the landscaping of both our grand entranceways. We thank her for her work keeping bright foliage all year round. Nicole Buchan as Treasurer always keeps our books so balanced you can rest a tall glass of wine on top without spilling a drop. Jeff Pratt as Secretary keeps our records straight, forwards and backwards. Peter Merante as COO keeps our operations spinning smoothly. Hatem Mekky as Government Liaison has his finger on Fishers pulse and Garth Powell is invaluable as our Architectural Committee Officer.
We are in the midst of getting some long-time needed masonry repairs done on both of our entrances. We have needed this for quite a while.
We will then be ready to start putting up some of our holiday decorations. I will be spear-heading this effort starting the Sunday after Thanksgiving, 11/27/22.
I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY AND ALL VOLUNTEERS TO HELP ME TO PUT UP DECORATIONS AND TO KEEP MY PROMISE TO MY WIFE SHERRY NOT TO GET ON A LADDER!!
So once again, thanks so much to my partners on the board, my neighbors on the farm and please stop by for a bit to lend a hand after lunch on Sunday November 27 to help dress up Lantern Farms for the Holidays!
Though summer may be gone like leaves on the lawn,
That have long since been blown far away,
We have the holidays before us and love to restore us
With our families during the Blessed Holidays.
So, let’s all hold fast to our love that will last
And carry us through the cold winter days.
Let us come to no harm within the fences of Lantern Farms
And pray the light will shine bright as Sun’s Rays.
